Waste management

Waste management services supports a safe and healthy work environment for clients, residents, staff and visitors.

Services are guided by a Waste Management Strategy Program, which seeks to:

• reduce waste,
• find suitable waste treatment options, and
• implement recycling programs including promotion of existing programs and development of new programs.

Waste management is provided by Compass One Healthcare, a division of Compass Group Canada. The team uses standardized quality assurance processes to ensure all regulatory local, provincial and national governance is followed to provide quality waste removal and reduction.

Where we are

This support service provides waste management services for all Eastern Health hospitals, community health, long-term care, clinics and administrative offices.
