Environmental Services
Environmental services are a critical part of Eastern Health’s operations. These services provide an environment that is clean, aesthetically pleasing and free of contamination, and are crucial for preventing the transmission of health-care associated infections (HAIs).
Environmental services staff use comprehensive quality assurance strategies to identify, treat and eliminate health care-associated infections (HAIs) using specialized products to clean and disinfect. Environmental services are provided by Compass One Healthcare, a division of Compass Group Canada.
What we do
- Clean and disinfect all areas of our facilities to provide a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors and staff.
- Use our bed requestor system to clean empty bed spaces as efficiently as possible.
- Improve and maintain the building sites with project work such as scrubbing and refinishing floors.
- Maintain and improve environmental and infection control standards within established policies and procedures.
