Patient transport

Patient transportation is a valuable part of Eastern Health’s circle of care.

This support team provides confidential, friendly and efficient patient transport within hospitals. Staff works to ensure that patient transportation adheres to infection prevention and quality control measures.

This service is provided by Compass One, a division of Compass Group Canada.

Staff in patient transport uses specialized quality assurance patient transport techniques, and are properly trained in safe handling procedures, including lifting protocols.

Who can access this service

Patient transport services are for hospitalized patients only (inpatients) and requested by the health-care team.

Where we are

Patient transport operates at the Health Sciences Centre and St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital.
