Before you book your appointment

Read the following:
  • Be sure to review who is eligible to book an appointment in each of the sections.
  • Unless specified, the vaccines used in the clinics are mRNA (Pfizer BioNtech and/or Moderna).
  • To ensure a successful online booking, please use Google Chrome as your Internet browser.
    • If you experience issues accessing/loading the site, please open Google Chrome and clear your web browsing cache by clicking Ctrl+F5.
  • Use a personal email address if possible as many companies have spam filters that can prevent confirmation emails.
  • Always check spam/junk folders for email confirmations.
  • Write down appointment dates and times as a precaution after completing bookings.
  • The clinic is full when there are no longer any available appointment slots available in the online system.
  • If an appointment is no longer available in your community/clinic of choice, more clinics will be available in the future.
  • Continue to check this website and the booking system as clinics are added regularly.
  • Eligible individuals who are not able or not comfortable booking an online appointment are encouraged to seek out a support person (caregiver, family member or friend) to assist with booking an appointment on their behalf.
  • Do not schedule an appointment for a vaccine if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Please complete a COVID-19 Assessment and Referral.
Support persons

Support persons are encouraged to attend when needed, but in keeping with public health guidance to reduce the number of contacts wherever possible, patients who can safely manage their interaction without assistance/support should attend the vaccine clinic unaccompanied.

Problems booking an appointment?

The Pomelo online booking system is managed by the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information. If you are experiencing difficultly booking an appointment, please call 1-833-951-3884, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Google Chrome is the preferred browser. If you experience issues accessing/loading the site, please open Google Chrome and clear your web browsing cache by clicking Ctrl+F5.

The advantages to booking appointments online are:
  • easy accessibility;
  • confirmed appointment dates and times within minutes via email;
  • no wait time;
  • ability to book appointments 24 hours/seven days a week; and
  • ability to view all available appointment locations and times resulting in choice for individual schedules.
