Ruby Dyall has a nursing career that spans 50 years in the health-care sector. Now retired, she has worked as a staff nurse, emergency nurse, community health nurse, and director of nurses with Eastern Health. In other organizations, she was coordinator/educator of a Licensed Practical Nursing Program and a nurse on a cruise ship for a period of time.
Throughout the years, Ms. Dyall has served on numerous volunteer boards in her community of Grand Bank. Specifically, she has volunteered with the Grand Bank Heritage Society Board, the Special Events Board, the Main Street Development Board and the Mental Health Focus Group. Provincially, she has served as a board member for the College of the North Atlantic, and nationally, as a panel member on the Review Tribunals for the Canada Pension Appeals Board. She has also volunteered internationally providing health services in Haiti and Guyana.
Ms. Dyall is currently serving on the Community Business and Development Board in Marystown and is vice chairman of the 50+ Club in Grand Bank.
