Eat Well

Eating well means learning to eat and enjoy a variety of foods and beverages. These foods and beverages are the basis of your health and well-being.

Tips to help you eat well:

  • Drink water for thirst.
  • Use Canada’s Food Guide to make healthy food choices.
  • Choose whole food most of the time.
  • Eat a variety of foods.    
  • Limit intake of processed foods.
  • Choose healthier fats most of the time.
  • Prepare and eat meals together as a family.
  • Help children learn life skills as they relate to eating well.
  • Have fun with your food.
