PsychologyReferrals

Referrals for inpatients or residents are made to psychology by the treating physician or by a member of the team caring for you. If you are an inpatient or resident or if your family member is an inpatient or resident and you are interested in psychology intervention, please discuss this with the doctor, nurse or other team member.

For outpatient psychology services, referral processes differ across programs.

Typically a physician referral is needed but in some cases individuals may self-refer or be referred by another professional.

It is best to contact the relevant psychology service to determine the referral process. An outpatient psychology services directory can be found by clicking here.
