Apply to become a client and family advisor
  • Are you looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity? 
  • Have you had experience either as a client or as a family member of a client who, during the last three years has received, or is receiving care with Eastern Health? 
  • Are you willing to share your experiences with us to make a positive impact in health-care delivery for other clients at Eastern Health?

Application Process
 
The application process for individuals who have an interest in becoming a client and family advisor involves the following key steps:
  • Step 2: An application and information package will be sent to individuals who have expressed interest, and interviews will be held. 
  • Step 3: Upon interview completion, final screening will then be completed by Volunteer Resources, where reference checks and a certificate of conduct will be requested.
  • Step 4: All applicants will then be notified in writing of their acceptance.
  • Step 5: Eastern Health may have various Client and Family Advisory Councils running at a given time. Orientation and training will be completed upon appointment to a specific Advisory Council. 
Please note
  • Accepted advisors may not be placed immediately on an active committee; they may be listed for future contact as an advisor is required.
  • The membership of the CFCC Advisory Councils aims to be diverse and represent a broad range of backgrounds, genders, and socio-economic level and cultural demographics.
