Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer’s is a disease of the brain. The most common form of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease affects men and women of all races, religions and socio-economic backgrounds. It is not a normal part of aging and no one is immune.
Alzheimer's disease progresses in stages: early stage, middle stage and late stage.

Learning Series for caregivers
The Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador offers a free 16 week Learning Series for caregivers, family members and those with Alzheimer’s disease. The courses in the Learning Series will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of dementia, coping strategies, resources and support systems.
