Seniors' Housing

Seniors' cottages/independent living apartments provide seniors and older adults with disabilities an affordable community based housing option. Cottage units/ independent living apartments are generally one or two bedroom with a small number designated as wheelchair accessible.
 
Cottage units/independent living apartments are located at select sites throughout the region. Access and eligibility criteria for each site vary. Some are administered by Eastern Health while others are administered through affiliates.

The goal of the program is to provide affordable housing to older adults with disabilities and seniors on limited incomes.

Saint Luke’s Homes, St. John's 

These housing options are owned and operated by Anglican Homes Incorporated.  Saint Luke's Homes offers seniors, 60 years of age and above, the opportunity for continued independent living, while at the same time providing an opportunity to live in a safe environment where the spirit of community is alive and well. There are 48 one-bedroom cottages, and six two-bedroom cottages. At the Bishop Meaden Manor, there are 22 two-bedroom townhouses and two apartment buildings that have one- and two-bedroom apartments.

The Salvation Army Glenbrook Villa, St. John's

The Villa is a two story senior’s apartment building made up of one- and two-bedroom apartments.
