Injury Prevention/Safety

Staying safe is part of a healthy lifestyle. Injuries are the leading cause of death for Canadians between the ages of one and 44.*

Injuries can happen to anyone but they are “no accident”: most injuries can be prevented.

One of the most important things you can do to protect yourself and your family from injuries is to take safety precautions. There are many things you can do to stay safe at home, in the community and while at work. It is everyone’s responsibility to prevent injuries.
