Other Care Areas & Personal Health Records

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, all in-centre dialysis units remain open and all in-centre hemodialysis treatments continue.
Urgent and emergent Community Support Program services, such as nursing, home support and the Special Assistance Program continue to be delivered. All appointments are being prearranged.
Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit (MFAU) appointments, prenatal appointments, as well as high risk pregnancy appointments are going ahead.
Since Alert Level 3, on June 10, women’s health services, including fertility services, have gradually resumed. Virtual clinics have been occurring and will continue.
Personal Health Records
Emergency requests for personal health records should be faxed to 709-752-4186 or 709-752-4189 from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Alternatively, individuals can also call 709-752-3974 and leave a voice mail with their name and contact information. Requests for personal health records via email cannot be accepted during this time.
In accordance with the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) for extenuating circumstances, and in consultation with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner, individuals submitting non-urgent requests for personal health records can expect extended processing times of up to 90 days.
