Mental Health and Addictions Services

We know we have an important role in the public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We know it is vital to continue to deliver mental health and addictions services and support to meet people’s needs. 
All Mental Health and Addictions Program appointments are proceeding as scheduled. Clients will be offered telephone/virtual or in person sessions as needed.  
Doorways locations throughout the region continue to offer services virtually, by telephone, or in person. It is recommended that clients call in advance to discuss options. Contact information and schedules are available at    
Mobile crisis response teams, and the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)/ Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) Teams continue to provide services.  
Our staff has continued to offer telephone and/or virtual counselling support through our DoorWays program around the region. Contact information to book appointments is available at  
If you are feeling isolated and alone during the COVID-19 pandemic, reach out and speak with a trained mental health peer supporter. Call the Provincial Warm Line @ 1-855-753-2560 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. daily. They are there to listen and help.  
Anxious about COVID-19 and not sure where to turn? Call the Mental Health Crisis Line 24/7 if you are experiencing a mental health crisis. Dial 1-888-737-4668. You are not alone. 
We have a number of online mental health and addiction supports. If you or someone you know is feeling worried and alone during the COVID-19 pandemic, please visit to access free online programs and for connection to local mental health and addictions supports in your community.  
Opioid Dependence Treatment 
A temporary provincial phone line is now available for those receiving Opioid Dependence Treatment, for those seeking support for their opiate use, for their families and for health-care providers. The line operates Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and can be reached by calling toll-free at 1-844-752-3588. Video Relay Service (VRS) calls are welcome.
