Palliative Care Services offers outpatient and inpatient services, as described below.
Outpatient services are available for individuals who have received a referral from their health-care provider. Once an individual has received his/her referral and has been seen by the palliative care team, s/he may contact Palliative Care Services again at any point during their illness. Outpatient services can be accessed in a hospital, clinic, home or community setting.

Select outpatient services can be made available to patients who reside outside the Eastern Health region.
» For more information about which services are available to whom, and in which situations, please see Provincial Focus.

Inpatient services are available for patients known to the palliative care service seeking admission for pain and symptom management with a plan for discharge or end-of-life care.
