Infants and children communicate in many ways. Listening means paying attention to what they are saying, even if they cannot talk.
Your baby communicates in many ways. The way in which your child lets you know what he/she wants or needs is often based on his/her level of development. The way in which you respond to what your child is “saying” will set up a pattern of communication.
Responding to your baby’s/child’s needs in a positive way helps to build your relationship.
