Student Services

Eastern Health (EH) hosts hundreds of student placements each year, including placements in both health care and non-health care programs.

These placement experiences help students learn the necessary skills, attitudes and knowledge required to practice effectively in their field. Preparing students to become qualified, skilled health care and service providers sets the foundation for creating a sustainable workforce. This supports the overall health of our people in our communities.

Who's a student?

For the purpose of this website, a student is considered to be any individual who is seeking a placement to meet requirements for his/her post-secondary education program or for his/her professional regulatory organization.

A student may also be a health care professional employed by a Canadian institution (e.g. Regional Health Authority) who is seeking a employee/learner placement for the purpose of sharing expertise and/or maintaining clinical skills.

The information on this website is intended for students, educational institutions and health professionals internal and external to Eastern Health.
