Safety

The alarm system is a continuous rapid 120 gongs per minute ringing of the alarm bells. Evacuation of the hostel unit is mandatory. Please read the evacuation information in your room. Staff are available to answer any questions.

Non-Insured Services

• Not all services and supplies offered by the hospital are free-of-charge.  For example, ambulances, crutches, and private rooms must be paid for by the patient. 
  
• A list of non-insured services is available from the Admitting Department.  Many of these services require a deposit, which can be paid by cash, credit card or personal cheques.  Our Admitting Departments have Interac Debit Machines for your convenience.
  

Room Accomodation

There are three types of accommodations offered to patients:

• Wards – 4 beds per room
• Private Room – 1 bed per room
  

Patients who request a private room must make a deposit.  This can be paid by cash, cheques or credit card.  Unless the deposit is received, you will not be considered as having requested a private room.
