HOW TO APPLY
As a potential volunteer, you are required to complete our volunteer screening process which includes the following: Application Form Two letters of reference Criminal record check (no charge for volunteer) Pre-health screening (for certain sites) Parental/guardian permission if 14-17 years of age All volunteers are required to attend an orientation session. Pre-health screening may be necessary for certain hospitals – Mantoux (Tuberculin) test, a blood test for immune status of Rubella (German Measles) Rubeola (Red Measles) and Chicken Pox, along with a copy of your immunization record. Once you have been accepted as part of our volunteer team you will be placed in a program, depending upon the current needs of the facility and your own preferences. Dedicated staff will be there to welcome you and provide support, direction and appreciation.
