GOLDEN HEIGHTS MANOR
Golden Heights Manor and the Protective Care Unit at the Bonavista Peninsula Health Centre are accredited long term care facilities that serve the residents of the Bonavista Peninsula. Golden Heights Manor has a total of 64 beds and admitted their first resident on September 14, 1977. The Protective Care Unit has 12 beds and admitted their first resident on September 21, 1992. The Unit is a protected environment to provide care to persons at risk for wandering.

Admission
Admission to Golden Heights Manor and the Protective Care Unit is based on need. The Health and Community Services representative sends completed assessments to the Regional Assessment and Placement Committee for review and selection of type of placement required.
