JANEWAY CHILDREN'S HEALTH AND REHABILITATION CENTRE

The Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre is Newfoundland and Labrador’s only hospital specializing in pediatric health care.  The Janeway is a tertiary care centre with modern emergency, diagnostic, operating and development and rehabilitation departments. 

The Janeway has spacious rooms and inpatient units, modern surgical and emergency departments, and a child/family friendly atmosphere. The Janeway is much more than bricks and mortar; it’s a place where miracles really do happen.

  • 29,000 Outpatient visits to the Rehabilitation Centre

  • 10,000Telephone Advice Calls answered
  • 69,000 Blood tests performed
  • 400 Sick newborns admitted to NICU
  • 900 outpatient visits to Oncology
  • 8000 casts put on or taken off

Parking

Metered parking is available in front of the main entrance and in an underground parkway, next to the Rehabilitation Entrance. A drop-off zone is located in the underground garage. More metered parking is also available in front of the Health Sciences Centre.

For longer term stays, ask if you are eligible for a parking permit (see Enforcement and Patrol, 2nd floor at the Health Sciences Centre). There are also a few designated wheelchair parking spaces adjacent to the Children’s Rehabilitation Centre for Janeway inpatients (free of charge).
