Our Philosophy
Pastoral care is offered as a component of the holistic and interdisciplinary approach to health care. It assists clients to mobilize their spirituality, faith and religious resources to enhance their health and quality of life.
Our Vision Statement
We believe that all patients, families and staff of Eastern Health have a right to pastoral services. We are committed to have competent staff deliver pastoral services that are respectful of the clients’ traditions and wishes, and who are connected to the interdisciplinary teams, the pastoral care team of the sites and denominations as well as pastoral care providers in the community. We will work to improve the quality of pastoral care through continuous evaluation, research and professional development.
