OUR FACILITIES
Eastern Health operates seventeen (17) accredited residential long term care facilities (nursing homes and Veterans Pavilion) and fifty-eight (58) Personal Care Homes in a large geographical area which includes the Avalon, Burin, and Bonavista Peninsulas, as well as Bell Island.
The geography covered by Eastern Health is approximately 21,000 square kilometers.
These facilities provide care to individuals who require various levels of assistance with their activities of daily living. Individuals are accepted into either a Nursing Home or a Personal Care Home based on the care and services they require and the facility’s ability to meet those needs based on staffing and physical requirements.
