Privacy and Confidentiality
At Eastern Health, we respect our clients, patients and residents’ right to confidential care. Access to your personal health
information is available to those who ‘need to know’ to provide care (physicians, nurses, therapists, technicians and other health professionals and staff).
We will not discuss your care with anyone other than your immediate family. Please arrange for only one or two relatives to call in to receive information about your condition and ask your friends and family to call those family members. This will ensure that information about your health is only revealed to those people you want to receive it.
If you have a special circumstance that requires additional security around your privacy, please let the Admitting Clerk or your nurse know about it as soon as you arrive.
