Flu Vaccine Clinics 2016-2017
Eastern Health is offering the flu vaccine through its community health offices across the region.
Seasonal influenza vaccine is now available at no cost to any member of the general public ages six months and up. The flu vaccine protects against four strains of the influenza virus, including H1N1.
It is recommended to get the flu vaccine in the fall or early winter to give your body time to build up immunity before ‘the flu’ begins to circulate.
NOTE:Children under nine years of age who are receiving the immunization for the first time will require two doses, at least four weeks apart.
