Flu Vaccine Clinics 2014/2015
Eastern Health is offering the flu vaccine through its community health offices across the region.
Seasonal influenza vaccine is now available at no cost to any member of the general public ages six months and up. The flu vaccine protects against three strains of the influenza virus, including H1N1.
It is recommended to get the flu vaccine in the fall or early winter to give your body time to build up immunity before ‘the flu’ begins to circulate.
NOTE:Children 9 years of age or younger, who are receiving the immunization for the first time will require two doses, at least four weeks apart.
The below are scheduled walk-in flu immunization clinics. The public is advised that they can also make an appointment to receive the flu vaccine at Eastern Health’s Community Health Offices across the region by calling (709) 752-4337. The vaccine is available at no cost to any member of the general public ages six months and up.
