Medicine/SurgeryVisiting hours are 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult and may visit only at the discretion of a nurse.
Pediatrics Parents may visit at any time. Other children, accompanied by parents, may visit with prior approval from a nurse.Parents are encouraged to stay with their child and participate in their care as much as possible. Nursing staff are available at all times.
Immediate family members can visit with prior approval from a nurse. Visitors are restricted to one person at a time. Rest period is 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. daily.
Palliative Care Immediate family is permitted unlimited visiting privileges only with the permission of the nurse or doctor.
Obstetric Unit and Birthing Room
Visiting hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Support person, grandparents, and the mother’s own children have unlimited visiting privileges only with the permission of the nurse or doctor.One designated person may stay with the patient in the Birthing Room.There will be no exchange of visitors to the Birthing Room.To protect the privacy of the patent during Labour and Delivery, visitors are not permitted to wait in the corridor outside the birthing room.

Patient Entertainment:A comprehensive patient entertainment and communications system is available for daily rental at this site. This touch screen system next to the patient’s bedside will provide access to traditional television and telephone services, as well as online games. It will also connect patients to the outside world via the Internet and Skype, an online video conferencing tool that enables people to speak with a friend or loved one anywhere in the world. For associated costs and entertainment options, patients can touch the screen at their bedside or visit the kiosk in the main lobby of the facility.
