Central Kitchen, a 30,000 sq ft food production and distribution facility, is open 16 hr/day, 365 day a year.
The facility produces food and assembles food trays for patients, staff and visitors of Eastern Health.
Central Kitchen uses some of the most technologically advanced equipment and systems available for food service - using cook / chill methodology to ensure safe, nutritious menu items.
Food items produced include bulk food, semi-prepared items, cold items and supplements/nourishments - based on required patient and resident volumes, established retail menus, vending and requested caterings.
